Supply Chain Officer

Job Summary

PaveWay Africa Limited, on behalf of our client, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented supply chain officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain processes, ensuring efficient logistics operations, and maintaining a seamless flow of goods from suppliers to customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Coordinate and manage end-to-end supply chain activities, including procurement, logistics, and distribution.

● Monitor and analyze supply chain performance to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic solutions.
● Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
● Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
● Implement effective inventory management strategies to minimize holding costs while ensuring product availability.
● Conduct regular stock assessments, reconciliations, and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
● Coordinate transportation activities, including route planning, shipment scheduling, and tracking.
● Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure smooth import and export processes.
● Ensure compliance with local and international regulations related to transportation, customs, and trade.
● Manage and maintain accurate documentation for all supply chain transactions.
● Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.

QUALIFICATION

● Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
● Proven experience in supply chain management within the transportation and logistics industry.
● Strong knowledge of local and international trade regulations.
● Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
● Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
● Proficient in the use of supply chain management software and Microsoft Office.
