Loan Officer

Job Summary

Paveway Africa on behalf of our client is looking for a loan officer, you will be responsible for evaluating, approving, or denying loan applications based on established criteria and guidelines. You will work closely with clients to gather financial information, assess creditworthiness, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will play a key role in promoting and selling various loan products to individuals and businesses.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To meet with loan applicants to discuss financial goals, explain loan options, and guide them through the application process.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a positive client experience.
• To collect and review financial documents, such as income statements, tax returns, and credit reports, to assess the borrower’s financial status.
• Evaluate loan applications to determine eligibility, risk factors, and compliance with lending policies.
• To analyze credit reports, financial statements, and other relevant information to assess the creditworthiness of applicants.
• To Advise clients on the most suitable loan products for their needs and financial circumstances.
• Stay up-to-date with relevant financial regulations and ensure all loan processes adhere to legal and institutional guidelines.
• Actively promote and sell various loan products to potential clients.
• To develop and maintain relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other professionals to generate referrals.
• Maintain detailed and organized records of loan transactions and client interactions.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting and closing, to ensure a smooth and efficient loan process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
