Inventory Manager

Job Summary

Paveway Africa Limited on behalf of our client is looking for an Inventory Manager, that will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the organization’s inventory management system. Your primary goal is to ensure accurate and efficient control of inventory levels, minimize costs, and maximize profitability. This role involves strategic planning, coordination with various departments, and utilizing technology to streamline inventory processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To develop and implement inventory strategies to meet company objectives.
• Analyze historical data, market trends, and demand patterns to forecast inventory needs.
• Place and manage purchase orders based on inventory requirements.
• To collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any supply chain issues.
• Optimize order quantities to minimize excess stock while meeting customer demand.
• To implement and maintain an efficient tracking system for all inventory items.
• To utilize inventory management software and other relevant technologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry advancements and recommend system improvements.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and logistics, to ensure alignment of inventory strategies with overall business goals.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to address inventory-related issues and opportunities.
• Optimize inventory levels to minimize carrying costs and reduce the risk of obsolescence.
• Generate regular reports on key inventory metrics, such as stock levels, turnover, and accuracy.
• To ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to inventory management.
• Implement and maintain best practices in inventory control to meet industry standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 2+ experience as an Inventory Manager or in a similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient in using inventory management software and MS Office applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
