Parts Salesman

Job Summary

Paveway Africa Limited, on behalf of our client We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused parts salesman to join their team in the automotive industry. The parts salesman will be responsible for selling automotive parts and accessories, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to the overall success of our parts department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• To assist customers in identifying and purchasing the right automotive parts and accessories for their vehicles.
• To achieve sales targets by actively promoting and selling automotive parts.
• Upsell additional products or accessories to maximize sales opportunities.
• To stay updated on the latest automotive parts and accessories in the market.
• To process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• To collaborate with the inventory management team to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Track and manage backorders, providing customers with timely updates.
• To provide basic technical support and advice to customers regarding the installation and use of automotive parts.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of sales transactions, customer information, and inventory levels.
• To collaborate with other departments, such as service and maintenance, to ensure a seamless customer experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in automotive parts sales is a plus.
• Experience in automotive parts sales or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
• Customer-focused with a proactive and positive attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry heavy parts.
