Electrician

Job Summary

PaveWay Africa Limited on behalf of a client, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our construction team in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the electrical systems within our construction projects are installed, maintained, and repaired to meet industry standards and safety regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
• Collaborate with the construction team to plan and execute electrical installations for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Perform wiring and ensure proper connections for lighting, power distribution, and other electrical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues, identify faults, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
• Conduct regular maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to enhance their efficiency and lifespan.
• Keep abreast of new technologies and recommend upgrades or improvements to existing systems.
• Coordinate with other construction professionals, including architects, plumbers, and HVAC technicians, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients to provide updates and address concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of all electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Complete required paperwork, including job reports and compliance documentation.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as an Electrician in the construction industry.
• Familiarity with local and national electrical codes and regulations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Education and Certification

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program.
• Relevant electrical certifications or licenses as required by local authorities.
