Workshop Manager

Job Summary

Paveway Africa Limited, on behalf of our client, is looking for an amazing workshop manager to join their team and take your career to new heights. The workshop manager is responsible for overseeing the workshop activities, managing a team of technicians, and ensuring that vehicles are well-maintained and meet safety standards.

 Workshop Manager Responsibilities

● Approve documentation of all maintenance activities.
● Ensure Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies, procedures and regulations are followed.
● Implement improved maintenance regimes to enhance the reliability of truck and trailer systems.
● Manage annual budget for the department.
● Manage multiple contractors to ensure safety requirements as well as operating and quality standards are met.
● Manage workshop’s performance in achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
● Provide technical guidance to maintenance teams.
● Recommend vendors based on proposal evaluation and cost.
● Review and approve maintenance schedule and manpower plans.
● Review audits on maintenance, repair and overhaul operations.
● Maintain service and repair logs for all vehicles
● Plan weekly meeting reports for review
● Plan cost controls – Reduce costs in maintenance and road breakdowns

 Workshop Manager Requirements

● Relevant experience in workshop management and related fields.
● Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
● Knowledge of workshop operations and equipment
● Strong leadership and organizational skills.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Attention to detail and ability to ensure quality control.
● Ability to delegate tasks and effectively.
