Claims Executive

Job Summary

Paveway Africa Limited, on behalf of the client, is looking for a claims officer who will play a key role in the automobile, home, health, and business insurance industries. As a claims officer, their main responsibilities include processing claims, negotiating settlements, verifying insurance coverage, and reviewing insurance cases.

Claim Executive Responsibilities

• Registration of Claims.
• Updating Reserves.
• Processing Claim Files.
• Communicating with Surveyors / Intermediaries / Workshops and other vendors and customers.
• Preparing and maintaining all required data & reports.
• Ensure quality management of all claims Non-Motor in accordance with the company policies.
• Ensure complete and sound claim settlements and investigations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure timely identification, notification, and recovery of claims from Reinsurers.
• Maintain records on claims and provide updates daily.
• Maintain computerized claims/loss recording systems and develop information with particular regard to allow proper risk analysis to be undertaken.
• Evaluate all new claims and administer all data integrity and manage communication to safety department and monitor all claims and ensure timely closure.
• Liaising with all other Departments, Branches, and Offices on matters of interest.

Claim Executive Requirements

• Should have at least 3 or more year’s prior experience working in an Insurance Company handling all Claims (Non-Motor)
• Must have a Degree in Insurance.
• Must be a team-oriented individual to work with clients, other team members, Brokers, Agents, and Insurance companies.
• Demonstrated knowledge of MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Can review and analyze detailed information for accuracy and completeness
• Willing and able to learn new tasks.
• Ability to work efficiently and multi-task in a very fast-paced department.
• Good communication skills both verbal and written.
• Should be willing to take up any assignment other than the core responsibilities.
